Glossary

The terminology in the field of bottles, whether it is glass or plastic, wine or water, manufacturing or collecting, is far from being universal.  Different terms can be used to describe the same part, shape or type of bottle and the same term can be used for different parts, shape or type of bottle.  Unsurprisingly, this can create confusion when talking about bottles, neck finishes and closures.  To help with this, we have created a glossary of the most common used terms and their equivalent.
