Neck Finishes
Neck finish refers to both the size and style of the part of the bottle that holds the closure. There are many different standards and styles of neck finishes. For this reason, it is important to make sure the neck finish of the bottle and the closure are exactly the same to insure it does not leak.
The GPI/SPI standard neck finishes consist of two number. The first number is the diameter of the outermost thread (“T” Measure). The second number is the Neck Finish Type. Each finish exists in many sizes (i.e. 18-400; 20-400; etc.)
